About Job

We are looking for an experienced Automation Engineer to join our growing engineering and design team in Karachi, Pakistan or on Hybrid / Remote Position.

The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 7 years of hands-on experience in automation and control system design, preferably in industrial or oil & gas projects. The candidate must have a strong understanding of GCC client standards, system integration, and advanced control systems.

This position is based in Karachi, with occasional travel to GCC countries for project meetings, site commissioning, or technical support.

Responsibilities

Design and develop automation and control systems for industrial and oil & gas applications.
Prepare control system architecture, PLC/DCS/SCADA configurations, I/O lists, communication networks, and logic diagrams.
Ensure compliance with SABIC, ARAMCO, MARAFIQ, SEC, and NWC engineering standards and applicable international standards (IEC, ISA, ISO, etc.).
Develop and review control philosophy, functional design specifications (FDS), and cause & effect matrices.
Configure and program PLC, DCS, and SCADA systems (Siemens, Schneider, ABB, Honeywell, Yokogawa, etc.).
Conduct FAT, SAT, commissioning, and troubleshooting of automation systems.
Collaborate with electrical, mechanical, and instrumentation teams for integrated project execution.
Provide technical support for proposals, tenders, and client presentations.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Automation, Electrical, Electronics, or Control Engineering from a reputed and accredited university (Master’s degree is a plus).
Minimum 7 years of experience in automation, control systems, or industrial process automation (preferably in Oil & Gas or Petrochemical projects).
Excellent technical documentation and communication skills in English.
Knowledge of Arabic or other international languages is an added advantage.
Strong analytical, leadership, and problem-solving abilities with a focus on innovation and efficiency.
* Must well aware about SABIC, ARAMCO, SEC, MARAFIQ, Maaden and NWC engineering standards and best practices.

Job Specific Skills

In-depth knowledge of PLC/DCS/SCADA systems, industrial communication protocols (Modbus, Profibus, Ethernet/IP, etc.), and system integration.
Strong understanding of ISA, IEC, ISO, and GCC client-specific standards (SABIC, ARAMCO, MARAFIQ, SEC, NWC).
Proficiency in automation software tools (TIA Portal, RSLogix, Control Builder, CX-Programmer, etc.).
* Must be familiar with Microsoft Excel, Word, Power Point, and Outlook, Power BI.
