About Job

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Instrumentation & Control Engineer to join our growing design and engineering team in Karachi, Pakistan or on Hybrid / Remote Position.

The ideal candidate must have a minimum of 7 years of experience in industrial or oil & gas projects, with deep expertise in instrumentation design, control systems, and automation solutions.

This position will be based in Karachi, but may involve occasional travel to GCC countries to attend technical meetings, project reviews, or site activities.

Responsibilities

Perform instrumentation and control system design for industrial, oil & gas, and process automation projects.
Develop P&IDs, control system architecture, instrument datasheets, hook-up drawings, cable schedules, and loop diagrams.
Ensure compliance with SABIC, ARAMCO, SEC, MARAFIQ, and NWC standards and international codes (ISA, IEC, ISO, NEC, etc.).
Design and specify PLC, DCS, SCADA, and field instrumentation systems, ensuring optimal performance and integration.
Coordinate with electrical, mechanical, and process teams for system interfaces and control logic development.
Review vendor documents, conduct technical evaluations, and assist in procurement of instruments and control systems.
Participate in FAT, SAT, commissioning, and troubleshooting activities when required.
Provide technical support during proposal and bidding stages.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Instrumentation, Electrical, or Control Engineering from a reputed and accredited university (Master’s degree is a plus).
Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in industrial / oil & gas / petrochemical instrumentation & control engineering.
Hands-on experience in control system design, process automation, and instrumentation specification.
Excellent communication skills in English; knowledge of Arabic or other international languages is an added advantage.
Strong analytical, coordination, and project execution abilities.
* Must well aware about SABIC, ARAMCO, SEC, MARAFIQ, Maaden and NWC engineering standards and best practices.

Job Specific Skills

Strong knowledge of international and GCC standards (ISA, IEC, NEC, BS, ISO) and client-specific specifications (SABIC, ARAMCO, MARAFIQ, SEC, NWC).
Proficiency in Aveva Instrument, AutoCAD, SPI (Intools), EPLAN, Solidworks Electrical, and control system configuration tools (for PLC/DCS platforms).
* Must be familiar with Microsoft Excel, Word, Power Point, and Outlook, Power BI.
